BREAKING: State and local police are responding to reports of a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. According to the Hartford Courant, police said a shooter was in the school’s main office around 9:40 a.m. The situation is developing and police have not confirmed any injuries or deaths, but local news outlets have reported multiple injuries. The Newton Bee also reports one officer apparently carried a seriously wounded child away from the school. Newton Patch reports police believe there could be two shooters inside the school.
